Most do not the only way the manufacturer would know you own the product is if you registered the product or purchased an extended warranty. Even more rare is the occasion that a manufacturer recall on a home appliance is reported on by news sources. Most recalls are fire hazards. Manufacturers reporting recalls include Sub-Zero, Goodman, GE, A.O. Smith, just to name a few. All major manufacturers have had a recall at some point- economy and premium brands included.
